Viewing Transactions
Note: Moonriver (MOVR) on Kusama is a companion network to Moonbeam and provides a permanently incentivized canary network. New code ships to Moonriver first, where it can be tested and verified under real economic conditions. Once proven, the same code ships to Moonbeam on Polkadot.
Transaction hashes provide a way to uniquely identify and refer to transactions on a blockchain, allowing for verification, traceability, and confirmation of transactions
Clicking on the transaction hash or searching the transaction hash in Moonscan will bring you to the transaction details page. If you are confused about the terms "transaction hash" and "address," you may refer to our other article to learn more about Moonbeam addresses.
Navigating a Transaction Details Page (Regular Transfer)
A. Overview: The tab that displays the information that relates to the transaction.
B. Comments: The tab that displays the Disqus comment section of the block.
Overview Tab
- Transaction Hash: TxHash for short, this is a unique 66-character identifier generated with each new transaction.
- Status: Show the progress of the transaction: Success, Pending, or Failed.
- Block: The precise number of the block in which your transaction was included on the blockchain.
- Timestamp: Shows how long ago the transaction was made. Can be toggled with Date Time (UTC) to display the date and time at which the transaction was made.
- Sponsored: Sponsored ads section. If you are project owner and interested in advertizing with us, do reach us at this page.
- From: The user account (or wallet address) from where the transaction was originally sent.
- To: The user account (or wallet address) to which a particular transaction is sent."To" indicates transfers sent to another normal or externally owned address (EOA).
- Value: The amount of GLMR transferred in the transaction.
- Transaction Fee: The sum paid in GLMR to a validator for processing the transaction.
- Gas Price: The per-unit-cost specified for the transaction in GLMR and a sub-unit known as Gwei.
